Description:
Lam Ha is located on the transitional shelf of the plateau and plain with an altitude of 800 to 1000m above sea level and the rolling hilly terrain. Therefore, the climate in Lam Ha is characterized by a very cool and sub-tropical climate . this region experiences two distinct seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year, which supports good water retention and provides an abundant surface water supply, making it highly favourable for agricultural development. As a result, Lam Ha is one of the localities least vulnerable to climate change.
Thanks to its mild climate and fertile soil, mostly red basalt covering many communes in the district, Lam Ha is among the districts with the most diverse agricultural production in Lam Dong province, producing a wide range of crops. Lam Dong is also the region with the first enterprise applying biotechnology to make tea products that meet food safety standards.
GABA Oolong *Production Process:* Oolong Tea – Organic standards, ISO 22000:2018.
Processing:
The tea plant used for production of GABA is purebred Oolong variety, grown and produced according to organic tea standards and fertilized with organic fertilizers (such as seaweed, rice bran, molasses, soybeans, etc.). Oolong GABA is processed over a 72-hour period. After harvesting, the tea is brought to the processing plant where it undergoes anaerobic fermentation. In this environment, the Glutamate in the tea leaves is converted into GABA (Gamma-aminobutyric acid) along with higher-than-normal levels of antioxidants, flavonoids, catechins, and polyphenols. The tea then continues through traditional processing steps to produce the final product. The flavour of this tea is influenced by the process of creating additional GABA, as well as by the altitude at which the tea is grown. Leaves that undergo more oxidation will have a darker colour and more distinct flavour.
*Appearance:* Large, round pellets, , relatively uniform in size
Aroma:
Ripe fruit, nectar, honey caramel, and a hint of jujube.

Benefits of GABA Tea:
Why is it called Oolong GABA?* Oolong GABA (also known as Jia Ye Oolong) is a type of tea that undergoes a special anaerobic fermentation process (oxygen-free) which synthesizes the compound γ-Aminobutyric acid – GABA in the tea leaves. The high GABA content not only provides its usual health benefits but also helps reduce symptoms of high blood pressure. GABA works by inhibiting “messenger molecules” from transmitting inhibition to the nerve endings. Research has linked GABA with several health benefits, such as lowering blood pressure, reducing stress and anxiety, lowering cholesterol levels, increasing mental alertness and sharpness, reducing Alzheimer’s plaques, combating schizophrenia and Parkinson’s disease, stabilizing blood pressure, and promoting better REM sleep. Other benefits include a good amount of antioxidants known to prevent cancer-causing free radical damage. Due to its anxiety-inhibiting properties, Oolong GABA may also help reduce stress-induced overeating, making it a useful supplement during dieting.
