In Fuding China they have a saying: One year tea, three years medicine, seven years treasure! Linh Van 2 has now matured to 3 years old, and its flavor has developed accordingly, offering depth, complexity and long-lasting aftertaste. This tea will continue to develop when stored in its original packaging, in a shady and dry place with a neutral smell. Avoid storage next to spices, perfumes and other types of tea.
Linh Van 2, WHITE TEA is made from sturdy, nutrient-rich buds of ancient Shan Tuyết tea trees, variety camellia sinensis var. Assamica. The tea was harvested from the Thuong Son tea region, part of the Tay Con Linh Mountain range in Ha Giang, at an altitude of about 1,300 meters. The area is characterized by rugged terrain with high Rocky Mountains and streams, creating a rich and diverse vegetation.
Picking and Processing:
Linh Vân 2 – Silver needle 2022 was harvested and processed at the end of the spring tea season. The ancient Shan Tuyết tea trees store nutrients throughout the harsh winter, the buds are then covered in a thick layer of white snow-like fuzz. The tea is plucked according to the standard of one bud, then withered under morning sunlight to reduce moisture content. The tea is then sun-dried until it meets the desired standard.
Linh Vân 2 – Silver needle 2022 sun-dried processing helps to preserve its nutrients while absorbing energy from the sun, which gives this tea its distinctive light, clean aroma with hints of dried grass and flowers. Its flavor is rich, with an initial sweet freshness. The more you drink, the more pronounced the lingering sweetness becomes in the back of the throat. When brewed, the tea has a deeper color compared to other white teas, ranging from lemon yellow to a deep golden hue, especially when steeped longer or at higher temperatures. The tea is very durable and can be brewed up to 8-10 infusions. Due to its unique qualities, Linh Vân 2 – Silver needle 2022 has officially been added to Bavantea’s collection of specialty teas for 2022!
