Tea in ancient Oriental medicine books
Reduces heat, clears the mind, helps digest food.
Tea tastes bitter, sweet, and cool. It has the effect of lowering the air, digesting food, eliminating phlegm and heat, eliminating thirst (due to phlegm and heat rising upward, causing thirst and irritation), and clearing the eyes (tea receives the nascent energy of spring, so it has the effect of regulating the contraction of the diaphragm). The book says: tea tastes bitter and cools down, so how can it clear the eyes? The book says: when the heat is lowered, the upper part will naturally be cleared.
Tea has the effect of clearing the mind (clearing the mind), detoxifying alcohol and stimulating digestion, eliminating grease and toxins from fried and grilled dishes, and promoting urination and defecation. Drinking a lot can clear fat (very good for weight loss).

However, tea (green tea) can make the stomach cold, so drinking strong tea can cause vomiting. The book says: tea can also cure headaches that are not caused by cold or wind stroke. It is caused by phlegm rushing upwards. Boil and drink a lot to induce vomiting, directly vomiting bile will cure, thirst will immediately stop.
Drinking tea after drinking alcohol can lead to the bladder and kidney meridians, people with tumors, edema, and an empty stomach should not use it.
Tea and ginger boiled in equal amounts, treat red white dysentery (dysentery mixed with white mucus and red), tea supports yin, ginger supports yang, so it makes cold and heat harmonize. It also has the ability to remove heat (from sun), detoxify alcohol, and food poisoning.
Fermented tea (pu'er, white tea...) should be left for a long time, the better.
